I live in Arizona in North America, You definitely DON’T want to come here June – September. Like the desert Arab nations, the best time to visit us is November – March. Beginning in June, temperatures ratchet up to 120F, then once its so hot you think you can’t take it anymore, the monsoon season rises humidity levels to upwards of 50%. Once the rains come in August/September, the temperatures will “cool down” to 100F or so, but the humidity is still really high, making it very muggy. The heavy rains in the afternoons and evenings make doing anything impossible, and dust storms can be dangerous not only for visibility etc, but because the dust can carry Valley Fever.

I’m from the South, and the same goes for many places in the South- the summers are unbearable. Florida and New Orleans are best visited in the winter when temperatures are mild. The high temps and 90% humidity levels are unbearable from May – September. Most other places in the South are best to visit in the spring and fall when temperatures are mild.
