Christmas Wonderland @ Gardens by the Bay

Christmas is finally here and Gardens by the Bay has been transformed into a garden of Luminarie light sculptures. And what’s more exciting… this attraction is free of charge! Well, at least the outdoor part of it. If you happen to be in Singapore this Christmas, there’s no excuse for not visiting Christmas Wonderland.

Right in the middle of the park (just beside the supertrees), there’s a tent where foam snow falls about four times every night. I missed out the snow moments, but here’s the exact timing so that you can join in the fun: 7.30 pm, 8.20 pm, 9.05 pm, 9.45 pm.

Nonetheless, even without “snow”, the tent still looks positively gorgeous adorned with elaborate stained glasses from Italy.

And of course, the usual light show (Garden Rhapsody) is still there. It’s still as mesmerizing as ever, but this time with an added festive touch of your favorite Christmas songs. Both the traditional ones and modern Christmas classics from the likes of Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande. Garden Rhapsody happens at 7.45 pm and 8.45 pm.

I’m happy to know that Singapore is stepping up its holiday season game this year (we can’t just depend on Orchard Road to go all-out every year, right?), and what I like about Gardens by the Bay’s Christmas Wonderland is that the pacing is just right.

Though there are a few carnivalesque stores selling merchandises, it’s not exactly full of activities which make the overall atmosphere more laid-back. It’s perfect for those seeking family fun or romantic strolls during this holiday season.

How are you spending your Christmas this year? Where are you going?

  1. These pictures are just gorgeous!! I was in Singapore once during the Christmas season; however, Gardens by the Bay wasn’t around at that time.

I will be spending Christmas in Taiwan. We have already had a huge turkey feast last weekend as most of my friends will work tomorrow. However, I will not be working and have a day great day planned!!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
